Anchorage Health Fair

Sign up for the community health fair sponsored by Alaska Health Fair and hosted by Hope Community Resources. A health fair offers a wealth of health education by local health providers, blood pressure screenings, and high quality, low-cost blood tests.

This event is open to Hope's employees and the public. Scheduling an appointment is highly recommend. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments will receive priority.

Intelligent Lives Film

Join us for an evening at Bear Tooth Theatrepub, where Hope will present the thought-provoking film. "Intelligent Lives." General admission is just $10.

INTELLIGENT LIVES stars three pioneering young American adults with intellectual disabilities – Micah, Naieer, and Naomie – who challenge perceptions of intelligence as they navigate high school, college, and the workforce. Academy Award-winning actor and narrator Chris Cooper contextualizes the lives of these central characters through the emotional personal story of his son Jesse, as the film unpacks the shameful and ongoing track record of intelligence testing in the U.S.

Peer Power Summit

April 26-28, 2024

The 2024 Peer Power Summit will take place in-person in  Anchorage, Alaska on Friday, April 26th to Sunday, April 28th, 2024. The topic this year is 'What is Power?' Be inspired by your peers to energize the movement of Advocacy to the I/DD community.

In order to attend this Summit you must be at least 18 years of age or older, have an Intellectual and/or Developmental Disability (I/DD) and be interested in advocacy.

The cost to attend will be $15 for Peer Power members and $30 for non-members. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks.

Walk & Roll for Hope

Kenai Walk & Roll for Hope

We invite all of our Kenai followers to join us on Saturday, May 18 to walk or roll through the streets of Soldotna and help support people with disabilities. For more than five decades, Hope has focused on removing barriers and building bridges to meaningful lives. The Walk & Roll for Hope has been a vital source of revenue, raising funds to support the continuation of quality programs and services for the people who choose our supports.
